ClimateSmartAdvisors (CSA)
ClimateSmartAdvisors is a pan-European project active in 27 countries, bringing together 1,500 agricultural advisors through 260 Communities of Practice to accelerate the uptake of climate-smart farming across Europe. The project strengthens advisory capacity by training 140 expert coaches, supporting knowledge exchange across 12 thematic areas, and connecting advisors with innovation projects, policymakers, and farming communities.
How it links to Climate Farm Demo:
ClimateSmartAdvisors builds on Climate Farm Demo by scaling up its climate-smart tools, practices, and lessons learned through a large European advisory network, reaching farmers well beyond the original demonstration sites.
EU Project
Climate Smart Research (CSR)
Climate Smart Research is a European research and innovation project involving 29 Experimental Research Stations across 26 countries, working together to accelerate the transition towards climate-neutral agriculture. Over five years, the project connects 33 partners to develop, test, and validate climate-smart farming knowledge and innovations across 12 adaptation and mitigation areas. Climate Smart Research focuses on piloting cutting-edge climate-smart approaches at 10 pioneering research stations in four pedo-climatic zones, aiming for greenhouse gas emission reductions of up to 55 percent and beyond.
How it links to Climate Farm Demo:
Climate Smart Research builds on the practical knowledge, methods, and insights generated by Climate Farm Demo by deepening them through scientific research, validation, and experimentation at experimental research stations.

ClieNFarms
ClieNfarms is a pan-European initiative involving 18 countries, designed to help farmers adopt sustainable farming practices and climate-smart technologies. By combining practical demonstrations, training, and a multi-actor approach, the project fosters collaboration among farmers, advisors, researchers, and policymakers to develop innovative solutions that enhance productivity and resilience while reducing environmental impacts.

EU CAP Network
The EU CAP Network is the key platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). It connects farmers, advisors, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders across Europe to accelerate the uptake of sustainable and climate-smart practices. By fostering synergies between EU, national, and regional initiatives, the Network enhances the visibility and impact of projects and ensures that results are effectively embedded in Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS). Its activities support the implementation of the CAP’s environmental and climate objectives, while strengthening the role of agriculture in achieving the EU Green Deal targets.
Within this framework, Climate Farm Demo (CFD) leverages the EU CAP Network to disseminate practice-based knowledge and ensure that demonstration outcomes and farmer-led innovations are accessible to a wide community of stakeholders, contributing directly to the transition towards climate-smart agriculture.
